This week in school we learned all about the letter S. I branched out a few weeks ago and bought a really great preschool curriculum from confessionsofahomeschooler . This woman has so many great ideas that i love to use to teach the boys! So it was totally worth the $10 investment! We just use some of her ideas along with some others that i find all over the web!
S is for SNOWFLAKE
Austin is working really hard with his new do a dot paints, he is so in love with these things, a very good investment on my part!
Filling in all the dots on the snowman worksheet!
Austin, Aydyn and I working on their school board. The boys were being very silly this day and decided to sing their weather song after every step of the board, turning a normal time of 10mintures into 30minutes! (if i can figure out how to post a video we've got one to go along with this).
I made the boys a snowman snack, like all the pieces you would use to make a snowman: marshmallow, m&m, pretzel sticks, orange tick tacks, some chex mix and nuts!
Austin decided to dress up as woody so i just threw it in for a really cute picture!
I also got the great idea to laminate some of our worksheets so we can reuse them. Here Austin is working on tracing the letters.
We also have these great pre handwriting sheets, which as you can see he is starting to get the general idea of them.
We just had some time to kill and since he loves his paints, i let him make a snowman picture before dinner. He wanted a mommy, daddy and Austin snowman!
